Yes I know this is an old bundle, but it's an old computer and it should work fine, as well as it did when it was brand-new anyway. Waves' support has dried up and they don't want to take email questions for this software unless I upgrade :(
I have used the plugins before and the iLok hasn't been touched.
When I go to install the Diamond bundle on this PC (which has been flattened and Windows XP Pro SP2 put on it w/ all upgrades), a dialog pops up after you've clicked through all the installation screens, and it's saying 'Waves Diamond 5.0 Setup is performing the requested actions.'
The dialog says 'Setup has detected that your demo period has expired! You must authorize this product to install. Setup will now abort.'
I am thinking to myself that the iLok contains the authorisation, so since it has worked in the past, it ought to work again right? Why doesn't the installer notice the dongle?
It's the only USB dongle plugged in.
It has worked in the past w/ plugins.
The iLok is recognised by Windows and the Device Manager's Properties View says 'This device is working properly.'
ilok.com still shows the correct information for this dongle.
The filename I'm trying to run is WavesDiamond_V5.0NoDocs.exe.
Any ideas?
Regards -MG
