James Blunt's new album, Moon Landing, is available for streaming in its entirety ahead of its official release on Billboard.

The publication is giving access to the exclusive stream for one day only (Oct. 15). The official release of the album is scheduled for Nov. 5.

In a recent interview with the publication, Blunt spoke about writing the new album and suggested that the direction it took also had to do with the incredible sales of his 2004 debut album Back to Bedlam.

'I have written it very much without an audience in mind,' Blunt said. 'In many ways this is, perhaps, the album that I would have recorded if my fast album Back to Bedlam hadn't sold in the way that it did.'

Blunt collaborated with Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic on Bonfire Heart, the first single to release off the album. The singer-songwriter suggested that the potency of the song lay in its simplicity and far-reaching message.

'It's a simple message that anyone can relate to,' Blunt said. 'That notion of connection. So the lyrics are really simple: People like us, we don't need that much. Just someone to light the spark in our bonfire heart.'

The 12-track album was produced by Tom Rothrock, who has worked with artists such as Beck, Moby and the Foo Fighters. He also worked with Blunt on Back to Bedlam.

Blunt also talks about You're Beautiful, the hit song from his debut album. He disregards the mainstream label he came to acquire because of the popularity of that single. The singer said that the song went 'to a dirty place called 'Mainstream' ' and he had to perform at larger than life venues across the world.

He went on to talk about how he felt the need to create songs that would dignify those big stages and the size of those audiences, realizing soon enough that he wasn't sure of 'how rewarding it was on a personal level.'
